About Matbaires

MatBaires is the City’s new Festival, its main challenge being to close the gap between science and everyday life.

The power and weight of its results have earned mathematics the epithet of Queen of Sciences; still for others like Plato, it has also been the Queen of Arts.

Matbaires is the Festival where maths expresses itself through the most varied artistic disciplines: dance, visual arts, music, film and theatre; it is also the Festival that presents conferences and activities with locally and internationally renowned mathematicians.

A discerning programme of high academic level intended to make us reflect, enjoy and learn from this science that each day influences our lives, while broadening our knowledge in a creative, original way.
